After importing “Float glass process” of Pilkington UK, SYP first float glass line with 180,000 tons’ annual capacity was built. It became a company which can produce all kinds of high quality clear float glass.

It became one of the first public listed glass manufactures in China after restructuring and listing.

The second tinted float glass line was built with 90.000 tons’ annual capacity, which ended the condition in China that tinted float glass was fully depended on import.

Shanghai Yaohua Pilkington Glass Co., Ltd Kangqiao glass processing base went into operation.

SYP bought “Tianjin NSG float glass Co., Ltd”, which NSG of Japanese invested in China and renamed it to “Tianjin SYP Glass Co., ltd”

“Shanghai SYP Engineering Glass Co., ltd” went into production.

“Jiangsu Pilkington SYP Glass Co., Ltd.” went into production.

“Changshu SYP Special Glass Co., Ltd. “went into production.

SYP brand float glass, Low E coated glass, tempered glass, Insulated glass were regarded as ”State Inspection exemption product” by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC.
